Situation:  Due to the heavy rainfall amounts over the past 30 days, there is concern regarding rising water levels along the Red River. Attached to this report is the Red River flood gauge document. 
 
Red River Levels:
    
Red River at Shreveport is currently at 29.19 feet (Action Stage) and is forecasted to drop to 28.8 feet (Action Stage) on Tuesday, June 23.

Red River at Coushatta is currently at 34.48 feet (Moderate Flood Stage) and is forecasted to drop to 32.3 feet (Minor Flood Stage) on Tuesday, June 23.

Red River at Grand Ecore is currently at 40.0 feet (Major Flood Stage) and forecasted to drop to 36.1 feet (Moderate Flood Stage) on Tuesday, June 23.

Red River at Alexandria is currently 35.55 feet (Minor Flood Stage) and forecasted to drop to 34.1 feet (Minor Flood Stage) on Tuesday, June 23.

State Actions 

GOHSEP
oMonitoring the situation including possible effects due to rainfall from Tropical Storm Bill.
LOUISIANA NATIONAL GUARD
oContinuing to support flood operations
ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS
oUSACE continuing to conduct levee inspections on all federal levees
DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY
oContinuing to support flood operations
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND DEVELOPMENT
oDOTD District 04 (Shreveport) 
oLA 480 remains closed. The under pilings of the bridge will have to be inspected by DOTD once the water recedes before the re-opening of LA 480 occurs. 
oLA 3049 was re-opened on June 15. LA 515 was reopened on June 16. 
oDOTD District 08 (Alexandria) 
oUS 71; LA 1212, LA 1226 & LA 1203 remain closed due to high water. 
oLA 485 in Natchitoches Parish was reopened on June 15.
oDOTD Districts will continue to monitor all jurisdictional routes and infrastructure. Red River flooding/cresting will remain the focus.
LOUISIANA STATE POLICE
oContinuing to support flood operations
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HOSPITALS
oOn June 18, we will only be contacting Brouillette, Campti, Natchitoches, Powhatan, Chee Chee Bay, Alexandria, Boyce, and Coushatta water systems since small areas of their water systems had been flooded.
RED CROSS (Shelter Updates)
oContinuing to support sheltering operations, case work, and volunteer training
oContinuing to conduct mobile feeding, and bulk distribution operations where needed
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY
oContinuing to support flood operations
STATE FIRE MARSHAL
oContinuing to support flood operations and monitor all area casinos
oThe OSFM engineer report for the Boardwalk should be ready by the end of the week.
oThe lower level of the boardwalk remains closed.
DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES
oContinuing to support sheltering operations. Updated Shelter Reports can be found in WebEOC.
oAll shelters are closed at this time.

DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE AND FISHERIES
oFor the Saline Lake closure, LDWF/LED has coordinated with parish officials and will make periodic checks of the lake and maintain communications with the parish for any specific requests. All public access points to the lake have been blocked off with police tape.
