GOHSEP SPECIAL EVENTS REPORT

AS OF 2200 HOURS 9 AUGUST 2012

ACTIVATION LEVEL: CRISIS ACTION
TEAM

As of 2200 hours August 2012, NWS/NHC is reporting on 4
tropical systems in the Atlantic-Caribbean-Gulf of Mexico basin. The 4 systems
are:

Ernesto

The remnants of Florence

Tropical Depression 7

Invest 93

The following link shows the latest reported location of
these systems.

Ernesto has moved on land over southern Mexico and continues
to move westward. As such, there will be no impact to Louisiana from this
system

The remnants of Florence (item 1 on the link above) are
projected to track northwest and remain in the Atlantic and as such will not
have an impact on Louisiana.

Tropical Depression 7 is in the mid-Atlantic. While a high
pressure area over Texas is currently expected to remain in place for the next
few days and keep this system moving to the west, it is still too early to have
any certainty on the actual track and intensity for this system. based on
current data, if it would track toward Louisiana, landfall would be sometime
next weekend, making H-120 early next week. The following link shows the latest
track model for this system.

The final system is Invest 93 (item 2 in the first link).
Again, while current track models (shown in the link below) show this system
remaining out in the Atlantic, it is still far too early to be certain of the
actual tack and intensity for this system.

GOHSEP Operations will continue to monitor and report on all
tropical systems as needed.

Due to the development of Tropical Depression 7, the GOHSEP
Crisis Action is shown as activated as of 1600 Hours 9 August 2012.
