SITUATION



As of 1000 hours 24 August 2012, NWS/NHC is reporting on
three systems in the Atlantic-Caribbean-Gulf of Mexico basin. These systems
are:



 



Tropical Storm ISAAC



The remnants of Joyce



Invest 97

Tropical Storm ISAAC is the one of most concern for
Louisiana. While current track models still favor a track that takes it to the
east of Louisiana, a track more to the west is still possible based on weather
influences over the United States. The link to the latest track model for ISAAC

The latest intensity models project Isaac reaching Category
1 strength with a potential to reach Category 2 strength.



 



Landfall is projected for late Tuesday or early Wednesday of
next week. 



 



As of 1100 hours today (24 August 2012) the State is at
H-93. The H Hour clock has been set on WebEOC. H Hour (the time when tropical
force winds will begin impacting the coast of Louisiana) is expected for early
Tuesday morning in lower Plaquemines Parish.
