NOTICE: Upcoming Bayou Lafourche Closures for Bridge Project in Galliano
The Greater Lafourche Port Commission would like to make local waterway users aware that Bayou Lafourche will be closed to vessel traffic daily at the site of the new Airport Connector Road Bridge crossing Bayou Lafourche in Galliano near the South Lafourche Airport as follows:
- Daily closures from June 10, 2024, through June 23, 2024
- 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM each day
These temporary closures are necessary in order for bridge project contractor Sealevel Construction to safely move, assemble, and place bridge components over Bayou Lafourche.
Contact Sealevel Construction on VHF channel 13 for passing arrangements if needed during scheduled closure hours.
