Empowering the Business Community
The Louisiana Business Emergency Operations Center is a response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, challenging the need for a public-private partnership in Louisiana and a program to support businesses during a disruption.
The center assists Louisiana businesses and non-profit organizations in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts to ensure community stability, resilience, and economic revitalization. By investing in resilience now—strengthening operations and community ties—we will confidently navigate challenges and emerge even stronger together.
The LABEOC partnership empowers businesses to build resilience, foster innovation, and encourage workforce development through training and educational opportunities. Learn more about cybersecurity, preparedness and mitigation, recovery, and procurement. #GetaGamePlan
The partnership is led by the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the NIMSAT Institute at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Louisiana Economic Development, with NIMSAT managing daily operations.
