Weather Update: Wednesday 6 AM
** far from done with the rains yet **
– severe storm threat has subsided but is not ‘zero’
– heavy rain threat now focused along and south of the I-10/12 corridor
– generally quiet across the northern half of the state
– prelim radar estimates topping 6″ to 8″ in parts of SW Louisiana
– pattern remains unsettled through the weekend
– outlook suggests some areas could get another 4″ to 6″ over the next 4 days
– will pull rain reports as they come in later this morning
– monitoring South Louisiana rivers and bayous flood stages
