Students are encouraged to submit posters of their original work from class projects, thesis or dissertation work, or individual research.

Guidelines:
Posters should clearly define a project which incorporates spatial science and technology.
Students may submit one poster for the competition.
Your poster must not have been presented at another conference, workshop, or meeting.
Students must bring a printed copy for display at the workshop.
Posters should be no larger than 40″ x 60″.
Presenters will be provided with an easel, foam core board, and clips.
All poster presenters must be registered before the poster is displayed.
Abstracts and a digital version of the poster must be submitted by midnight April 7, 2025.
Students will be notified by email on poster acceptance. Space may limit acceptance.
Judging and Awards:
Posters will be judged on scientific and technical merit, effective design and use of cartographic principals, & overall impression/quality of work.
Student posters will be judged by a panel of experienced spatial technology specialists during the LA RSGIS workshop.
Students must be present during judging to answer questions.
Cash prizes will be awarded: $200 First, $100 Second, $50 Third place poster.
Contest winners will be announced during the awards ceremony.
