- Emergency preparedness can be a complex task, especially with the unique challenges facing people with disabilities living in our ever-changing world. This workshop will offer participants an opportunity to discuss disability-specific challenges for emergency preparedness, learn about resources available in Lafayette Parish, begin developing a personal preparedness plan, and leave with a starter emergency kit.
- The event is being offered through a collaboration with the following community partners: Families Helping Families of Acadiana, Lafayette Consolidated Government, Disability Access Solutions, Affiliated Blind of Louisiana, Helen Keller National Center, and Volunteer Louisiana. This event is open to all community members.
