FEMA Mitigation Specialists on Hand at Local Hardware Stores

BATON ROUGE, La. – Survivors in Louisiana who are rebuilding or repairing their homes after Hurricane Ida can visit
a local home improvement store to speak with FEMA representatives about steps they can take to make their homes
safer, stronger and more resilient.

Mitigation specialists will be on hand to answer questions about rebuilding and protecting their homes from future
disaster-related damage. Some of the topics include flood insurance, clean up, selecting a contractor and ways to
reduce risks from future disasters. Below is the list of participating stores:
