Overnight, Tropical Storm Fred makes his debut. Fred currently has 40 mph winds and is traveling west northwest at 16 mph. His current path takes him north of the Caribbean islands and into the Florida straight by Saturday morning. If current forecasts remain accurate, then Fred will make landfall near Apalachicola Florida early in the morning of Monday August 16, 2021. The 0800 projected storm path is below.
